Headed to Disney World

We have been talking to Mathis about going to Disney World for months!!  My parents invited us to go in the fall (I believe).  I don’t think there has been a day that has gone by, that we have not talked about it.  My parents planned this trip to celebrate Bekah’s graduation from collage – perfect way to celebrate!  We told Mathis that we would not be going until after Mercer was born.  So of course after she was born he asked us, “is it time to go to Disney World now?!?”  haha.  Then we told him that we had to wait until Mercer get’s bigger.  Anytime we mentioned that she was “getting big”, he would ask if it’s time to go to Disney?!  Around 30 days out we started tearing links off of the “We are going to Disney World” chain that my mom made. 

It felt like Christmas morning when we woke up on Wednesday!  The day was finally here!  We had Mickey Muffins for breakfast.  Cute Mickey and Minnie muffin cups and picks from the Dollar Tree!

We dropped Madison off at the Mentzer’s and Mischika drove us to the airport.  Our flight was delayed an hour so we grabbed some dinner at the airport and let Emma and Mathis play on the indoor playground! 

Aside from a blowout and a little bit of fussiness from Mercer the flight was great.  Mathis had his own seat and was well entertained with the ipad/iphone, snacks, Disney puzzle to-go (from the Dollar Tree) and some coloring. 

We arrived in Orlando around 9pm.  Picked up our luggage, got on the Disney Magical Bus and arrived at Disney’s Pop Century Resort.  After quick baths we all made it into bed around midnight.  Mathis slept on a palate on the floor and Mercer slept in a pack n play.  Everyone was exhausted and slept great!  We were ready for our first day in the park – up next Magic Kingdom!
