Burn Night

Charlie recently had his Burn Night and graduation from the Dallas Fire-Rescue Academy.  They started the night off with a really cool video that they made.  Then we headed outside to watch them show off!  These were all tasks that they completed throughout their training.

I am so proud of Charlie, he worked very hard!  He has been in the field for a few weeks and he is loving it.  I could not be happier that he loves what he is doing!

Afterwards we had dinner with the fam at Twisted Root then headed across the street to Adair’s to hang out and as a tradition the guys signed the ceiling.

Texas Oncology Sweet Summer Party

I am still trying to catch up on some blogging and since it is still officially summer, I thought I would post about my work summer party.  This was our 2nd work summer party.  The theme was “sweets”.  I was part of the planning committee and this was such a fun theme to work with!  One of the nurses, Eryn, that I work with was in charge and she did a great job!  This year we had it at Winfrey Point on White Rock Lake (this is where Charlie and I had our wedding reception). 

The main room The cute center pieces…One of the ladies at work made the colorful popcorn balls!Eryn & her husband Mark Their adorable daughters The kids table…bubbles, snacks, colors, and Candy LandThe Candy Bar My chalkboard sign always comes in handy.  This is a great gift (or if you just want it for yourself) it is from The Store in Lake Highlands.  It is $15.  I have lots of cute magnets that I put on it also.  And I wrote on it with chalk markers from Michaels.  I use this little chalkboard all the time in my kitchen and it is fun to change out the ribbon!The cute cake that Dr. Ghisoli’s wife made! We also had a cotton candy machine, that was fun! Me and Charlie outside with White Rock Lake and the view of downtown behind us.

Lots of fun stuff for the kids, even a bounce house! The Texas Oncology Sweet Summer Party was a success!  Everyone had a great time.
