I love my sweet niece Emma and I love being her Aunt G!  It has been such a blessing to be a part of her life, from the minute she was born to hearing her coo as a 3 months old.  I am so excited to see her continue to grow!

Baby Sawyer Grace

A couple months ago we had a shower for Lauren and Sawyer Grace Coats.  The shower was hosted by some of the girls from our Pokeno group and was at our house in Rockwall.  It was such a sweet time to celebrate Sawyer & Lauren.

Just less than a month later Miss Sawyer Grace arrived!  She is just adorable – see for yourself – Lauren let me come over and take some pictures of Sawyer.  She was such a good baby model!

New Camera!!

Christmas came early this year, my parents got me a camera!  I got a DSLR camera from Best Buy.  My mom got one too!  Here’s what we got…

Canon Rebel XS

with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens

We ended up getting the kit, even though after all my research, I was against this.  I think it is a good start and I can always add lenses on ($$$$).

I am eager to learn the creative controls to this whole digital photography thing, but it is a different world/language to me right now.  I have a few books that I have borrowed and checked out from the library.  I think I am going to need a class or something!

 If anyone has any good recommendations for classes or online tutorials, I would appreciate the help!

My next addition to my camera gear is to make one of these cute camera strap covers! I am actually at Starbucks right now chillin’ with Charlie, so I am going to get back to fiddling with my camera….
