Growing up we always did and still do “birthday breakfast”. It is such a fun tradition and love that we can continue it with our family. When Mathis woke up we came into his room singing “happy birthday” and dumped a bunch of balloons in his crib. Emma was there when he woke up so he had Emma and balloons in his crib, two of his favorite things! That made his day right there! We had my parents, Charlie’s parents, Bekah and Bradley and Uncle Andy over for breakfast.
Mathis is such a people person he loved having everyone there!
I made him Mickey shaped pancakes. This was his first time to eat pancakes and he loved them!
Then it was time to open some presents! He got his first pair of Nike shoes, a book and some clothes from Grandma and Grandpa. DeeDee and G-Bob got him a sock monkey jack in the box. Aunt Bekah, Uncle Bradley and Emma got him a cute backpack. This sweet boy was spoiled!
After breakfast Mathis showed off his walking skills and we watched a little Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It was a successful 1st birthday breakfast!
