Summer Vacation

Well we are back from our vacation. It was so fun and relaxing! Most of our time was spent in Gulf Shores, Alabama. But first we went to Semmes, AL (near Mobile) to see Jason & Karol Anne! Karol Anne and I met when we were Freshman at Baylor, we were next door neighbors in Collins Dorm as Freshman. Our Sophomore year we lived in a house together and we have been the best of friends ever since! Karl Anne was the maid-of-honor in our wedding, I just love here, she is a great friend! When Charlie was at Hardin Simmons his Freshman year he played football with Jason. We decided Charlie should bring Jason down to Waco, to meet KA. They had so much in common it was scary! That weekend, KA knew Jason would be her husband some day, and the rest is history! So there is the history for ya....We flew into New Orleans and Karol Anne picked us up from the airport. With a little detour we headed to their home in Semmes! There house is so adorable, I was tempted to take pictures of everyone room, but I decided to not be that crazy! I did of course have to test out that Dyson of theirs and I loved it! So I think I have made my decision to get the Dyson DC 14. Now I just can't wait to get it!

Karol Anne & I in front of her adorable house.

We spent the first night at their house and the next day we headed to Gulf Shores, which was only about an hour and a-half away. This was the start of our 1st Annual Glickerson Summer Vacation! **WARNING** This is picture overload!

We made it to The Beach Club! We loved it!
The view from our room!

KA and I were all about relaxing, the boys not so much! So this is what KA and I did...lay out, read, and lay out more! The boys boogie-boarded in the ocean and spent a lot of time throwing the tennis ball in the pool. It was so cute, a lot of the kids that were in the pool wanted to play with them, ha ha.
KA relaxin' in her float

Loved t
he floats, they were awesome! The beach was so pretty!
The Boys
We spent a lot of time reading. I finally read the book Wicked, it was so interesting and good, I really got into it!
KA the pirate! Her glasses broke and I had to get a picture, it was hilarious!
Karol Anne and Jason just got a boat, so we were allable to enjoy it! It was so much fun!
Our Captain
His Assistant
There is so much more to this picture than what you would think! All we needed to do was blow up this tube. So we headed to the gas station, thinking that we could blow it up with the air machine. It was taking forever, not really getting much air in. We kept adding quarters and trying to get the thing aired up. Being in the parking lot of a Wal-Mart we thought it might be a good idea to just go in and buy a pump. But no, the boys kept trying to air it up with the air machine. $5 or $6 later in quarters, we decided to head to Wal-Mart and just get a pump! We ended up getting a $10 pump, that took about 1 minute to air up the entire tube! The funniest part, was when we got in the car to leave, Karol Anne got out the tube directions and it specifically says not to air up with tube with an air machine, ha ha. It was not so funny then, but we can laugh about it now!
We made it to the water!
Charlie getting ready to wake board!
Charlie tubing
Jason tubing
Charlie wake boarding
Karol Anne wake boarding
Me wake boarding
Taking a lunch break on a sand bar, the water was so pretty! White sand and clear water.
Eating my lunch on the beach
Nap time for Charlie
We would hang out at The Beach Club all day, eating breakfast and lunch in our condo, and at night we would go out to dinner.
We went to Lulu's, it is Jimmy Buffet's sisters restaurant, it was so cute and the food was great!
We played putt-putt & rode go-carts!
We made dinner at our condo one night
Me, Karol Anne, and Cindy...Before we left for Gulf Shores
This was the motto for the vacation, ha ha.
We of course had to have t-shirts! ha ha

We had so much fun, we can't wait for the 2nd Annual Glickerson Vacation, where are we gonna go?!?! I hope everyone is having a great summer, I am sad it is almost over!
