This is a look at the front of our home.
Before
After
We removed the stone on the front of the house and put in new windows throughout the house.
A whole in our dining room. We replaced a small window in the front dining with a larger window.
After the stone was removed we put in new brick and painted it.
We added black shutters and new light fixtures.
The original door.
A vintage door we found at “One Of A Kind”, an antique shop in downtown McKinney. I love the big windows!
The front door after.

Hey Ginni! I'm a stranger to you, so I hope it's not weird that I read your blog! :) I do think that I recognize Charlie from DBU, and I'm pretty sure you and I have a mutual friend (Amanda {Parks} Goodrich)! Anyway, not sure how I stumbled upon your blog, but your house is beautiful! I can't wait to see the rest!
We are amidst a reno (have been for 3+ years, so I'm REALLY impressed with how quickly you guys finished!) We are about to replace all the windows, have our rotted siding repaired, and then eventually we're going to paint our brick also. Did you guys contract those things out or do it yourselves? We have had no less than 15 window estimates and have finally chosen someone who doesn't charge more than what it cost me to go to college! I'd love to know if ya'll did it yourselves though and had good luck with it. Also, adding the brick and painting it. Did you DIY or hire a contractor?
Ok, I realize I have a million questions! If you even have a minute to respond and would rather email me, my email is robin.averitt@yahoo.com
I just love to get advice from others who have been there, done that! :) Thanks and can't wait to see the inside!
You and Charlie did an awesome job...I love it!
