I love decorating for Christmas! It makes a home seem so warm and cozy! Charlie got an early start on it this year! He put our outdoor Christmas lights up Thanksgiving weekend.
I have not taken a picture of the final product yet, so I will post it later. But it looks great!
Since I was busy with headband making and craft shows I got started a little later with my Christmas decorations this year.
I love the real Christmas wreath that we get every year from one of my doctors at work. Here it is this year hanging on our back door. It smells so good! I can’t wait to have a real Christmas tree. We are still using our fake one, but I don’t know how much longer it will last.
This is a little area in our breakfast room. The poinsettia is from Charlie’s parents. They gave it to us when we had them over for Thanksgiving, very sweet!
This is our dining room table. I got those green sparkly trees last year at Target (on sale after Christmas) and it was like opening a Christmas present, because I forgot that I bought them! I added a doily of my great-grandmothers to give it a vintage touch!
This was a last year find also! I got him from Mt. Pleasant, TX in the cutest little pharmacy. I like his vintage look and you can’t tell from the pictures but he has some sparkle.![]()
Here is our living room. We don’t have a mantle on our fireplace, so this is where our stockings hang. And that is real holly on the tv console, Charlie’s parents brought it to me from their farm!
The tree now with presents under it! Charlie and I watched Elf last night and I got some wrapping done!
I have seen this idea in the past and thought it would be a cute way to wrap my presents this year. Once again…loving the vintage look! I had the standard brown wrapping paper, I just had to buy the gold twine and doilies. The birds are clip on ornaments from Target.
I hope everyone’s home is warm and cozy this Christmas. I am so thankful for this season and what it means for us.
“Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
