Craft Show Wrap-Up

I sold my headbands at two craft shows this year and they went well!  I did not really know what to expect but I was pleased.  I made over three-hundred headbands and I had around ninety left after two shows.  My friend Mischika then sold around thirty more for me!!  She is a great friend and sales women!  ha ha.  I was thinking about trying to do another show in Rockwall this spring to sell what I have left and make a few more.  But we will see I am taking a break for a few weeks!

So here are some pictures of my little table.  I think I only spent a few bucks to buy some paper mache trees, and some chicken wire to hang some headbands on.  Everything else I had around the house.

So here is my table…

The frame with chicken wire was really helpful because it  held so many headbands.  Charlie just stapled some chicken wire to the back of the frame and then I tied that mirror to the top.  The polka dot “tablecloth” is actually a duvet cover.

12-18-10 048I saw this idea of putting headbands on a log and thought this would be so cute and very “Anthro”.  A lot of the stuff on my table was my great grandmothers.  It was special to use it on my table and very vintage.

12-18-10 002I made the fabric triangle banners.  Of course I used my fabulous chalkboard to display my name.  And I had this wire dress form to display more headbands.

I bought these trees from hobby lobby, wrapped ribbon around them and then clipped the headbands on with mini clothes pins.

My favorite part of the table was my great grandmothers trunk.  I love this trunk!  I even left some of her things in it – bobby pins, coin purse, mirror, glasses, scarf and mail.  I then stacked the headbands inside the trunk.  I laid a few of my grandmothers mirrors around the table for people to use when trying on headbands.

12-18-10 001I had to share the photo of my little craft tool box- it was a lifesaver and the organizer in me loved it!

My mom also did both craft fairs with me.  She sold these cute chalkboards and magnets.  It was fun to do the shows together and she is a craft show pro.

My table was visually pretty busy but I loved it!  Designing the decor of the table was one of my favorite parts of the show!  Thanks to everyone who came out to support me and my headbands!

Love,

Queen Bernina

Where do you do your craft fairs? Great job displaying everything! I especially like the way you put some within a frame with chicken wire and a mirror attached -- perfect!

Everything is so cute! Does your Mom have a website or Etsy page for her chalkboards? I would love to buy one! Let me know! :)
