I feel a little overwhelmed when I think about blogging. One side of me feels like there are so many big things to blog about and then I also think I hardly have anything to blog about, ha ha. So I figured I would try to conquer blogging about our summer vacations! We have been so blessed to have gone on two vacations this summer. I am going to start with San Francisco.
Our San Francisco trip was awesome! Neither of us had ever been to San Francisco. It was also the 2nd Annual Glickerson Summer Vacation! We went with our friends Jason & Karol Anne Glasson. Glasson + Rickerson and you have Glickerson! ha ha. We always have so much fun together, and this year was even better than the last. I know Karol Anne from Baylor and Charlie knows Jason from Hardin Simmons, we are pretty much responsible for them being together, ha ha just kidding (I will explain this later, it requires a post of its own.)

“East is East, and West is San Francisco” – O. Henry
This was the quote that was on our t-shirts that Karol Anne and Jason made this year (I am sad I did not get a great picture of the cute shirts.)
San Francisco Trip: Part 1 Costanoa
The first two days we stayed at Costanoa. This is a camping resort on the California Coastline. My friend Eryn is from California and she recommended this place, it was great!
Our tent
Inside our tent…pretty much just a bed, side tables, a chair, and I coat rack. Not much room, but just perfect! The tent was canvas with a wood frame, it had a wooden floor, windows and a door (fancy tent!) It was is the low 50’s at night so the bed had a heated mattress pad, it was awesome!

Some of the other tents around us
There were “Comfort Stations” around the resort, which had bathrooms, outdoor showers, and outdoor fireplaces.

Walking around the resort, the General Store in the background
We were so happy and finally felt relaxed so we just laid on the nice cool grass and looked at the mountains, ha ha. It felt so good to finally be on vacation!
Enjoying our pancake breakfast
Costanoa is located in the town of Pescadero, California.
We felt like locals when we had dinner at Duarte’s in the little town square.
The best part about Costanoa was that the coast was 1 mile from our tent…it was gorgeous!”
”When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.”
Psalm 104:3-5
I am just getting started…coming up next: Driving Highway 1
Happy Monday!
