Christmas came early this year, my parents got me a camera! I got a DSLR camera from Best Buy. My mom got one too! Here’s what we got…
Canon Rebel XS
with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens

We ended up getting the kit, even though after all my research, I was against this. I think it is a good start and I can always add lenses on ($$$$).
My Wish List
Canon EF-S 15-85mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM UD Wide Angle Zoom Lens
Canon - Lens - 50 mm - f/1.8 II - Canon EF

I am eager to learn the creative controls to this whole digital photography thing, but it is a different world/language to me right now. I have a few books that I have borrowed and checked out from the library. I think I am going to need a class or something!
If anyone has any good recommendations for classes or online tutorials, I would appreciate the help!
My next addition to my camera gear is to make one of these cute camera strap covers!
I am actually at Starbucks right now chillin’ with Charlie, so I am going to get back to fiddling with my camera….
Happy Weekend!

Hey Ginni!
Sorry to blog stalk you...again. Your blog is super cute though:) Anyhow, my daughters teacher is opening a shop in Rockwall and she is looking for someone to make cute headbands. I believe she actually goes to your church...C Life right? I remembered seeing yours so I told her about you. If you are interested send me some pics and I will forward on to her.
LOVE the camera strap cover!
I am in the same boat as you with having recently purchased a nice Canon over the summer...I saved my $ for months!
The Pioneer Woman gives lots of photography lessons on her site, www.twopeasinabucket.com has a photography link with great info, and if you live in the Dallas area, I suggest trying one of their photography courses.
Happy snapping! And, if you find anymore info, please share...I need it, too. :)
Oh how fun! I want a cute camera strap!! When we hang out this week- lets make the camera straps! Surely it would only take a short bit! Can't wait to hear how you like your camera! :)
Thanks! We think they are pretty darn cute too! Her name is Sandi Green. She said she is opening a tee girls resale shop with a friend in downtown Rockwall. Send pics to abrewer61@hotmail.com.
