Yes I am back and it has been a while! Our computer died and I realized that I am a Windows Live Writer snob and refuse to post my blog through blogger, ha ha. We got our computer back today and the first thing I did was download Windows Live Writer, ha ha, so i am back! We had a lot happen in the last few months since I have not blogged, so I will try to catch up on some of that later. But for now I wanted to wish everyone a HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!! We kicked off mother’s day weekend last night. We went to the Rangers game with Charlie’s family and my parents. The weather was perfect, the Rangers won, and the fam had a good time together. Tomorrow we are going to Charlie’s parents house for lunch (prepared by Andy, Charlie’s brother) and then we are taking Charlie’s mom and grandmother to the Swiss Avenue Mother’s Day Home Tour!! I am so excited about this (I just wish my mom could join) :(. This is the 37th Annual home tour, put on by the Swiss Avenue Historic District. There are 11 houses in the tour, horse-drawn carriages, local musicians, and a children’s corner. I volunteered at 4949 Swiss Avenue today and so I got a free ticket for the tour! I only had time to see the house that I was volunteering in today, so I can’t wait to see the rest tomorrow. If you don’t have any mother’s day plans you should check this out! It is $20 for a ticket and you can buy your ticket there, for more information check out http://www.sahd.org/. What was really neat was as I was browsing through the program, I noticed that my great-grandfather Marshall Barnett (my dad’s grandfather) was mentioned as one of the “nationally renowned architects” that designed and built some of the homes on Swiss Avenue. I thought was exciting, I called my dad immediately! ha ha. I hope everyone enjoys their mother’s day!!
