The Rickerson's: House Update I: Demolition

The house is coming along. I think we are past the “demolition” phase, which is wonderful! This means less dust, dirt, etc. which makes me and my allergies very happy! Charlie has been working so hard, and has done such a good job! I am so amazed as what all he can do. I know I keep saying, “you know how to do that?!?” and he usually replies, “yeah it is not that difficult.” In my mind all of this stuff seems difficult! Anyways he is doing a great job and it is really coming along. He had to start football stuff this week and school stuff is starting, so his summer is pretty much over. We are really having to use our weekends, to get a lot of stuff done.

I think it will be easiest to update with photos, of course! So here are some demolition pics…

We removed the stone on the front of the house and the stone columns. We put up new brick, they are a different color that the other brick, but we will be painting the house.

The Master Bathroom. It is hard to see, but the shower is on the right, the toilet on the left. There were 2 vanities and 2 closets, one straight ahead and the other behind me in the picture.

This is what it looks like right now. That is the shower on the left (with the ladder), notice the new lighting! The picture on the right will be a double vanity. On the opposite side of the bathroom where the other vanity and closet were will be a large closet.
