DEMO

We are in the demolition stage of the renovation and it is looking great! Well as great as the demolition can look! You can really start to see the difference when you open up spaces, it really modernizes it. So here are the demolition pictures so far...
The kitchen opened up. Charlie & Andy removed the cabinets and put up that header. (refer to the pictures below to see the before kitchen)

Dining room opened up. They removed the column that was between the living & dining room.

The living room ceiling. Does anyone have any thoughts? Get rid of the beams? Keep the beams? What to do with them? Your comments are welcomed!

The kitchen

The guest bath - all of the tile out of the shower

Living Room

The left side of the master bath AKA our new closet!

The right side of the master bath

The 1st work injury!! Charlie smashed his fingers lifting a sink/counter top into the truck. Gross.

These our the latest updates, but I will keep them coming as we make progress!

Happy Tuesday!

I think taking out the beams will make the room look bigger, but it really depends on the look you're ultimately going for. You could be pretty creative with it. Can't wait to see the finished product. Let us know if you need any help :)

i would definitely keep the columns. It makes your house so unique! I don't see many living rooms w/ colums like that! And you can totally be creative with the paint on the columns vs the ceiling.
