Flat tire

So yesterday at work my tire went completely flat! I drove to work did not notice any problems with the tires and just went into work. Not like I would have looked at the tires or anything, but you know. So then I get a call from Dr. Weinthal who is up on the 6th floor of the hospital seeing patients and tells me that I have a flat. I was wondering how do you know that I have a flat?!? Then he says that my friend Rhonda parked beside me and she tells him that I have a flat! Dr. Weinthal says you NEED to get that flat changed...call security....AAA...whatever just get it changed, then I got a little lecture on why I should have AAA. ha ha. I am thinking of course I am going to get it changed! So I call the hospital security and ask if they could change my tire, they tell me that they do not change flat tires they will only put air in the tire. So I head to the parking lot to check out the tire and it is completely flat! I am thinking that just airing it up won't do the job. There is also a little story behind this tire...Charlie has noticed that it has had a slow leak in it and I guess he has just been airing it up every now and then. On Thursday before I went to work he asked me to check the tire. I checked the tire and it looked a little low so I went and put air in it and headed to work. The next day it is completely flat...I guess the leak was just getting bigger! So back to Friday...I call Charlie and tell him that he probably needs to come to the hospital after work and change the tire. He says "great, I will be there." We went on with the day...we had no patients in the clinic after lunch, all the paperwork and phone calls were done, so Amanda and I decided "maybe we can change the tire!" So we headed to the parking lot. In the trunk was the jack and the spare but no wrench. So Amanda went and got her keys and we got the wrench out of her car. The hardest part was getting the jack up, it was stuck! We took turns standing on it so that would could get it turned, finally it loosened and started to raise. Then comes along some security guy and asks if we need help. I don't think he really asked because we would have probably said NO! We wanted to do it on our own! ha ha. So he starts helping us. And we got the tire changed! We were so proud of ourselves!! The funny thing after we put everything up and were about to leave the car, we noticed that the spare looked kind of flat! ha ha, but I made it home safe. The ended up being a little nail in the tire. Thanks for your help Amanda, I hope your blood pressure wasn't too high at your doctor's appointment! The only reason I knew how to change a tire was because I had changed a tire on my parents GIANT van! ha ha. It pays off when your parents make you learn how to change a tire or rotate your tires (Tricia) these things come in handy. I know what I need for Christmas...a wrench for my car! Well I just wanted to share this little Friday adventure with everyone. Hope you have a great weekend!
